Oddly enough, after the United States gave North Korea — our enemy — nuclear material and some reactor plans and made them promise not to use it in a nuclear weapons program, we are shocked… shocked! to find out that they have been diligently using it to craft nuclear weapons all along.

And so the international community gets all riled up, threatens sanctions, points angry fingers, and says stern things about them on the internet and at international forums.  Usually when the international community does this, whether it be with North Korea, Iran, Iraq, or wherever, the offending country says “All right, all right, you can have it your way.  I’ll lay off the nukes, if you give me some aid.”

And so, the community happily agrees, signs treaties, signs up the U.S. to donate billions in unconstitutional foreign aid, and before the aid airplanes even get off the runway out of the country, those nations go right back to doing whatever it was that caused a ruckus to begin with.

So what is so startling about the most recent revelation from North Korea? Is the shocking surprise that North Korea is refusing to pretend to stop their nuclear program in order to avoid sanctions?  That they’d rather openly pursue nukes than receive foreign aid on fallacious grounds?

Or is it just shocking to the liberals of this nation to see a soverign nation stand up for itself?  Obama couldn’t bring himself to stand up for America when Somali pirates took our citizens captive, nor when North Korea took two journalists captive, and he stands ready to turn over to the UN control over the worlds waters and America’s economic destiny.  And yet, there’s nutball, nearly-dead Kim Jong-il threatening war against anyone who dares to mess with his nations internal affairs.

But apparently, like all corrupt government officials before him, Obama can show spine only when it comes to exercising retribution against any who discover corruption in his administration.

From WorldNetDaily, we read:

Former Inspector General Gerald Walpin filed two reports exposing gross misappropriation of federal AmeriCorps funds by a prominent Barack Obama supporter and was shortly thereafter fired by the White House, circumstances he told WND are likely linked and others have called an outright illegal action by the administration.

Independent, federal inspectors general are supposed to be granted special protection from political interference – thanks in part to a law co-sponsored by the then-Senator Barack Obama – to ensure that they are free to investigate waste and fraud uninfluenced by political cronyism.

But after Walpin dared to push for action against the St. HOPE Academy program – run by Obama supporter and former NBA star Kevin Johnson – which had misappropriated hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal AmeriCorps funds, he nonetheless found himself fired by the White House under circumstances that have led some to wonder if Obama has violated his own co-sponsored law in retaliation.

Democrats were up in arms when President Bush’s Attorney General Alberto Gonzales fired several U.S. attorneys for seemingly inappropriate reasons, and yet, when Obama violates the very laws he helped to pass, Obots cheer and faint in delight.

But such has been a halmark of tyrants and totalitarian regimes throughout history.  Laws are for other people, and punishment is for whomever offends the regime.

Let us hope that my Illegitimate Collegue can soon figure out where his birth certificate went, and we can then send him to rule the nation of his birth.

Congressman Paul on the Recent Swine Flu Scare

On May 1, 2009, in Uncategorized, by The President

I urge my fellow Americans to remember that the normal flu causes 36,000 deaths every year, and while that is incredibly sad, do not let panic over a comparatively small number of deaths from swine flu pressure you into turning over responsibility and control over your health to the government.

Politicians only care about their own political power, and the lobbyists who help them maintain their position and power, and that goes double for me.

So pay heed to Ron Paul – there’s nothing in this world that politicians cannot make worse, and they stand no better chance of curing the swine flu than they do of finding Barack’s birth certificate.
