Is this just an oddly coincidental set of headlines?

Step 1: Prepare

National Guard drill at high school to prepare for possible H1N1 riot
PARIS Maine — Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School will be the site of a National Guard riot control drill Thursday morning to prepare in the event of a panic over distribution of serum to treat the swine flu.

Step 2: Recruit

National Guard reveals ‘internment’ job sites

Military confirms it follows Constitution, civilian leaders

Soldiers recruited to be “Internment/Resettlement” specialists by a series of National Guard ads concerning “civilian resettlement” locations would have assignments overseas, not within the U.S., says a National Guard spokesman who reports members pledge to follow the U.S. Constitution and take orders from American civilian authorities.

Step 3: Expand

The Pentagon Wants Authority to Post Almost 400,000 Military Personnel in U.S.

The Pentagon has approached Congress to grant the Secretary of Defense the authority to post almost 400,000 military personnel throughout the United States in times of emergency or a major disaster.

What makes it especially spooky is how that last article says:

That section gives the President the sole discretion to designate an event as an “emergency” or a “major disaster.” Both are “in the determination of the President” alone.

So, they are drilling the national guard to fight riots that may crop up in response to mandatory immunizations against a non-existent pandemic, the national guard is actively recruiting “resettlement and internment” soldiers, and the president is seeking sole authority to define and declare emergencies and to command — domestically — hundreds of thousands of troops.

What could go wrong?
