You are my favorite President and Statesman, and your service has been invaluable to the birth of this nation.

Thank you for the Declaration of Independance, may we remember its values and apply them in our day.

Thank you for consistently fighting Hamilton and resisting the establishment of a central bank, may we abolish ours and return freedom and prosperity to our nation.

Thank you for all of your inventions and for the Patent Office which protects the rights of inventors.

Thank you for the Louisiana purchase, for sending Lewis and Clark around the continent, and for fighting off the Barbary Pirates, rather than giving in to their demands for ransom and tribute.

Thank you for leaving us your writings and example.  May we all learn the lessons you learned over 200 years ago, avoid repeating the same devestating mistakes, and enjoy the peace and prosperity that come from living with a just government.

It’s good to see Obama following my example!

MOMBASA, Kenya – President Barack Obama vowed Monday “to halt the rise of piracy,” while shipmates of the rescued American freighter captain called for tough action against Somali bandits who are preying on one of the world’s busiest sea routes.

Obama appeared to move up the piracy issue on his agenda, saying the United States would work with nations elsewhere in the world.

I don’t see why he had to travel to his homeland to make that announcement, but I welcome Obama’s cooperation in my initiative to make international waters safe for the American merchant marine.

Unlike Obama, however, I feel perfectly confident in the ability of the United States Navy to make the oceans of the world safe for American vessles – both by taking action such as they just did in freeing Captain Phillips from the Somali pirates, and by making it plainly known that we will not suffer allowing our ships and citizens to fall into hostile hands.

Happy Birthday, Henry Clay

P.S. – You were wrong about the Bank.

Every experience of every nation and people throughout history, when a people have experimented with fiat currency, fractional reserve banking, and even central banks, that people have seen devestating boom and bust cycles, the destruction of  private fortunes, rampant inflation, consolidation of government power and corruption, and eventually, the toppling of that civilization.

Our founding fathers knew this, which is why they prohibited within the Constitution that the states should make “any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts”, and required that such coin be the sole legal tender of this nation.

Andrew Jackson knew the evils of central banking and fractional reserve banking, and fought throughout his presidency to abolise the Bank of the United States.  The Bank fought back by creating a huge bust and restricting the money supply, but when Jackson finally won, it ushered in an era of prosperity that did not end until the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 set us up for the Great Depression, and every boom and bust cycle between then and the one in which we now find ourselves.

As a people, we need to be brave, we need to be strong, and we need to abolish the Federal Reserve, abandon this worthless fiat currency, and return to a sound money based on gold and silver!

If we do so, we may experience some short-term pain as we transition from worthless paper,  but the ingenuity and resilience of the American People will quickly adapt, and this nation will recover and prosper in ways that will inspire the world!
